How do I use the shards calculator?
Choose your hero rarity (Elite, Legendary, Mythic), then select your current tier (Yellow / Red / Diamond). Set how many stars you already completed in that tier (0–5) and your progress in the next star (0/5 to 5/5). The tool will calculate your remaining shards to max and show a breakdown for each star.
What does “progress in next star (0/5 to 5/5)” mean?
Each star has 5 steps. If you’ve already filled 3 steps toward the next star, set it to 3/5. If it’s already 5/5, that star is complete — the calculator will automatically convert it into one more completed star.
Does this work for Elite (Epic), Legendary, and Mythic heroes?
Yes. Legendary and Mythic are calculated using the commonly shared shard tables in the community. Elite is also supported — and includes an adjustable setting so you can match your in-game values if they differ.
Can I subtract shards I already have?
Yes. Enter your current shard stock in “Shards you already have” and the calculator will subtract that amount from the total needed. It won’t change your upgrade progress — it only affects the remaining shards you still need to farm.
What’s the max upgrade level this calculator targets?
